This place is just a block from Washington Square, so you can go there to wait out the hour (if it's not too late or dark), or grab a quick bite or drink somewhere nearby (lots of pubs and restaurants around). At 50 minutes before the show, they will come by to take down your names and tell you to come back at showtime. If it's too late to make a reservation, don't fret, just show up about 1 hour before the showtime, and the bouncers will show you where to line up (just around the corner) for standby tickets. I will never attempt to attend a show run by them again. After the line went through, I attempted to reason with them again and they completely wrote me off. I was not only embarrassed by coworkers but my mother as well. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had within the comedy industry. I will never go back or recommend this establishment. I couldn’t believe it until they confirmed they were being serious and told us “maybe you can come back tomorrow night”. This was a Tuesday night and we each had one glass of wine. (Note: that with my experience in comedy I would absolutely never heckle or disrespect another comedian). As we proceeded to the front of the line they pulled us aside and said I was “too intoxicated” to attend and they couldn’t put the comics “at risk”. We continued to talk to multiple guests around us about how cool the comedians were and how we drove 3+ hours to see them. We were also with 2 of my business partners who were behind us in line. The bouncer came up to my 68 year old mother and I and wrote “manager” on our phone bags that we had put on silence and seal closed. This show started at 11:30PM so we were just walking back from dinner. I was definitely hyped up to see 2 of my favorite comics in the line up. Tried to go there with my mother and we were so excited!! (Apparently- “too excited”) We made reservations and got there 30 minutes early. I’ve been doing stand up comedy for 5+ years.
